The DNC Convention Tribute to Senator Edward Kennedy

via

Senator Ted Kennedy I grew up in a home where my mother was obsessed with the Kennedy’s.  Growing up my reply was generally to yawn and then flee but as I grew older, I started to read a lot more on them and became more and more interested in Ted Kennedy because of what happened after John and Robert died.  By most accounts he wasn’t read to be the patriarch of the family and failed miserably early on with it.  What I found so interesting was that despite absorbing such overwhelming blows, he kept getting up and kept on moving forward

While it is up to debate, when you look at his legislative accomplishments, he made have made a bigger different that Jack or Robert did during their public lives.

It’s weird to think that there are no more Kennedy brothers to hold the imagination of us in the west anymore.  It is an end of an era.
