As many of you know, I can’t stand the Rockefeller family. I don’t mind their billions, their monopoly, their fame, their famous friends, their place in history. What really bugs me is at the Rockefeller family office in 30 Rock, they have a 8 foot by 8 foot tall custom made Rolodex that keeps all of their contacts around the world organized. Meanwhile at the JordonCooper.com office, I can’t even keep my address book organized. It just bothers me. It keeps me up at night. It’s the reason behind my male pattern baldness.
It has haunted me until this week when I hit address book nirvana. For the first time ever, my Gmail address book, my work address book, my Blackberry Curve, my iPod Touch, and even LinkedIn were all synced. It was the best day of my life. I even sent the Rockefeller family a note letting them know that our feud was over.
I was going to blog how I did the impossible, while I was looking for something else, I found Soocial which sync’s up to three different Gmail address books and syncs them with your phone. Well that made what I had done a lot less impressive and it sure makes Plaxo look lame. If you have a couple of different email accounts and a phone, you will want to check Soocial out. It’s a killer app for those of us who want all of our data in one place (and it’s a whole lot more portable than a 8×8 foot Rolodex).
