CBC News: Study says overfishing has emptied the oceans
Sad, really sad. When are we going to learn?

Tourists leap on whale carcass, pat feeding great white sharks in Australia
Wow! Stupidity knows no limits! Patting a feeding great white shark. I guess they never saw Jaws!

Glitches hinder Hotmail upgrade
Interesting feature "exclusive" e-mail from only senders in your address book.

I think I like it on days that I get a load of spam... On the other hand, then I may as well just use Instant Messenging...

Marcus Buckingham Thinks Your Boss Has an Attitude Problem

This is one of the best articles that I have read on Fast Company. It is extremely applicable to churches.

Edmonton pot growers say they'll compete with Saskatoon operation
Saskatoon's international fame comes from us growing pot. Not exactly a tourism Saskatoon moment.

CBC News - Letters from Europe
Maybe I am bitter because I am Canadian but I have to agree with this article.

ABCNEWS.com : On My Mind: Men Behaving Badly
Carol Simpson has some great insights on sex in Washington and why these "leaders of men" risk it all for a one night stand.

Welcome to BobVila.com
Bob Vila's homepage! The guy that started it all.

CBC News: Hey! (Quack) Over here! (Quack)
A new version of Lassie is on its way....

Lucky Lucy cat back with owners in Inuvik after 4,500-km mystery trip to Ont
This is why Elway always has a collar one with our phone number on the tag.

Games go to Beijing as Chinese capital wins on second ballot
I am glad Toronto didn't win. Canada is too small of a country to host the games three times in 30 years. As much as I would have enjoyed watching the games in person, I think China deserves it.

Pentagon might deploy missile defences early, even if not fully tested
Great, a missile defence sheild that isn't ready shooting down missles over Canada.

Photos of Aylmer, Ont., family at centre of spanking debate deleted from Web
I don't know all the details but this jumped out at me... "The family belongs to the fundamentalist Church of God, which includes the "inerrancy and infallibility of the Bible" as one of its Christian doctrines."
In case you were looking for clues that we were living in a post-Christian culture, I think we found one Watson...

Day loyalists rally to purge critics from Alliance's governing board
A friend of mine is on the Alliance governing councillor, I am glad I am not in his shoes right now.

Former all-star sneaker maker Converse struggles to score again
I never liked their Chuck Taylors but I have owned several pair of Converses. I hope they make a comeback.

CBC News: Nunavut community declares grizzly emergency
In Saskatoon we only call such emergencies when the gophers get out of control

MSN Messenger outage in seventh day
7 days without data. That's it, I have lost faith with .Net.

Jack Welch's Legacy

Jack Welch's Legacy
I hope Jack Welch reads this editorial. If it would, it would leave him a legacy everyone would be proud of.

New-look Roughriders wow home fans with 30-28 season-opening win over Hamilton
All of Saskatchewan is hoping this team is for real. Being disappointed for several years in a row isn't a lot of fun.

Yahoo! Sports: NBA - Barkley: 'There's no way I could play'
Barkley was always one of my favorite players and I am glad he isn't coming back if he knows he won't be in top form.

If I wasn't 6'4" tall and was able to get in or out of one of these without getting stuck like Pooh at Rabbit's house, I would buy one.

MSN Messenger outage enters sixth day

If they can't keep MSN up, how are they going to keep my data online. I am not completely comfortable with .Net yet...

Welcome to Myplay

I don't know if you use a Myplay locker but you are missing out if you don't. Myplay allows you to store 3 gigs of mp3's online and then they stream it back to you. I have most of my CD collection online now and I love it. No more, "Is that CD at the office or at home" or walking upstairs to get my Moxy Fruvous CD, it is all online and ready to go.

Dear World: Loose Lips Sink More Than Ships

Keep your private thoughts out of your e-mail...

Lectures vs. Laptops

Let me get this straight. A Yale prof doesn't like it when students don't listen to him in class and download their e-mail through their wireless e-mail. The problem isn't e-mail, it is a change in learning styles that he hasn't caught up to yet. Don't blame the students for being bored, challenge the teaching style.

Bulls 6, tourists 0 on gory first day of Pamplona run

What else can you say about running with the bulls. A bunch of drunk runners match wits with a herd of raging bulls and they are suprised that 6 people got seriously gored. I don't even think that is news. It would be news if nobody got gored at all.

The Bullard Journal - Jan/Feb 2001

Am I glad that this is back. George Bullard is a great church consultant and publishes the best book reviews on the net (and he has let jordoncooper.com publish some of them!). E-mail George at bullardjournal@cs.com if you are interested in signing up. You can read one of his old ones online.

Canadian Internet prodigy considering company HQ in New York City

Okay, this isn't fair. 13 year old kid with offices in 7 cities and is on the verge of being a multi-millionaire. I am assuming that his Dad or someone else has a huge influence on his business dealings.

I was one CJ Baseball today. Considering that most baseball and other pro atheletes make millions of dollars of the back of the fans, this site is a great gift back. It is published by CJ Nitkowski, a reliever for the Detroit Tigers and it is a great way for fans to actually interact with a pro athelete but it also gives him a chance to hear what we are saying. He reads and answers his e-mail, does the entire site himself, and provides honest commentary on the Tigers and MLB. The web needs more of these sites.

If you haven't yet, feel free to check out BMW Films. It is the future of web video. The whole site is a ad for BMW cars but it is interesting in that it is all based on emotion. All the technical facts are more or less buried in the site. You want to buy a BMW on how it makes you feel, not on the technical specs.
