• As you can see, Brad Wall is making appearances everywhere, especially on Yahoo! Sports and ProFootballTalk.  I like Premier Wall but I would like to point out that I am reading sports pages so I don’t have to think about politics.  GET OUT OF MY ESCAPE!
• Putin to be for president with Medvedev stepping aside—decade of consolidating power will secure him to 2024.  Of course it’s already been established that Putin may already be The Most Interesting Man In The World.
• Sale of bunker-busting bombs to Israel may have been perceived as greenlighting Iran attack.    Yes, I would concur with this.  What else does Israel need these bombs for.  While we are on the topic, does anyone notice the incredible similarities between Obama’s foreign policy and the Bush foreign policy?
• Need free art?  You can steal it from the Government of Canada.  More than $80,000 worth of art has gone missing over the years.  201 works of art have been stolen since the art bank opened in 1972.  Crooks struck CBC buildings most. The public broadcaster has been hit 16 times at its bureaus across the country. Public Works has been robbed nine times at its Vancouver, Montreal, Gatineau, Que., Halifax and St. John’s, N.L., offices. Thieves struck the Finance Department six times and the offices of the taxman five times.
• While Republicans attack green energy, China massively invests to dominate the crucial sector.  Let’s be honest about this, the future belongs to China.  Canada will just get the crumbs.
• Texas ends special last meal requests for death row inmates.  This is really, really funny to me and a couple of co-workers for reasons I can’t reveal.
• David Miller takes a series of pot shots at Rob Ford at TEXxToronto :: I like this line from Miller, Mr. Ford has also repeatedly said that he listens to taxpayers, but Mr. Miller says that term can be “derogatory.” Taxpayers, Mr. Miller says, implied consumers of government. Instead he encouraged Torontonians to consider themselves as “citizens” and “residents” of the city, and to continue to voice their opinions.

• My wife endorsed Cam Broten for Saskatoon Massey Place.  Cam’s election website is here.  Personally on our block, NDP MLA Frank Quennell is running even harder than Cam so I may endorse him (our street is on the border for both ridings and Canada Post has issues with boundaries).  Perhaps the ultimate endorsement for Cam is from the Saskatchewan Party who does not look to be running a serious campaign in the riding.
• 27.4% of US renters & 15% of those with mortgages spend more than HALF their income on housing
• Brian Topp’s emphasis on political strategy makes him sound a lot like the political back room strategist he is.  Of course Brian Topp’s campaign makes we wonder how long it will be until we see Warren Kinsella declare for the federal Liberal leadership.  If this happens, I wonder if Stephen Harper will be joining SFH on stage for the Liberal caucus Christmas party.
• Dave Hutton says that both Pat Atkinson and Henry Dayday are thinking of running for Saskatoon mayor in 2012.  He also has this, “The 2012 election, which is 13 months away,  is shaping up to be interesting. There are  rumours some prominent members of the business community are discussing running a slate of candidates. Former candidates Mike Bzowey, Ainsley Robertson, Mark Horseman,and Sean Shaw, all indicated they’re running for council seats.”  I have heard the rumors of a business slate being run and I wonder if my sources are the same as Dave’s.  Of course the Mayor has alluded to the same thing as well. 
• Putin says that Arctic shipping will soon rival the Suez Canal.  In anticipation of this move, both England and France are preparing an invasion force.
