Another horrible strategic move by Nokia

Since launching Windows Phone 7, it’s marketshare has dropped 38% which means that by the time that Nokia introduces Windows Phone 7 devices, the OS may be about as popular as the Symbian OS it dropped in support of Windows 7.

The question is for how much longer handset makers and carriers will consider it worth supporting Windows Phone 7. Microsoft’s mobile market share has been declining at a compound rate of about 5% per month for the past six months. At that pace, its overall share may be be hovering around just 4% by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, rival Google is on track to dominate smartphones. Android devices held 40% of the market as of the end of June, according to Comscore. Apple’s share came in at 26.6%, while RIM’s share, also in decline, fell to 23.4%.

i don’t know of a single user of Windows Phone 7 now that I think about it.  No one I know even talks about it.

Apple stole from both Android and Windows phone 7 for Iphone 5 but when all is said and done wp7 will be a God awesome OS when mango drops. Even the the tech bloggers who have Iphone5 beta is saying they are finding it hard to go back to Iphone wp7 has surpassed both in beauty and functionality with Mango cause everything is integrated into the phone. wp7 Mango is super awesome.

So no wp7 isnt going anywhere it will be the future of mobile it actually makes Android and Iphone feel outdated , when the fall comes and the marketing for wp7 Mango is ramped up you will see the difference. Did you know that wp7 market share is already more than either Apple or Android market share when the platform was 9 months old?, so why would wp7 go anywhere, Android is popular cause its phones are flooding the market, Android has over 100 handsets on the Market wp7 has 10, when wp7 has more handsets coming this fall you will see the difference cause more selection to choose from.

Anotherr thing Nokia didnt make a wrong choice why jump onto a platform that every other phone manufacturers have why not do something different with an OS thats looks better and with Mango OS will be way better feature wise. Also nokia did not want to get sued or pay licensing fees to other companies this is because Android is getting sued left and right for Patent infringement, right now for example the Galaxy tab is not being sold in australia because the courts says it violates apples patent when that starts spreading to mobile phones apple will become restricted so thats HTC who and Samsung who makes Android products are gonna lose if you cant sell wp7 does not have that problem cause it completely different so hardware manufacturers are now considering wp7 instead of Android cause they dont wanna be sued.

Point is wp7 is better than anything out there its just a matter of time before it take off.
