As the Star Phoenix reports, there was a fire at work.
Crews from the No. 1 Fire Hall arrived at 339 Ave. C South at approximately 9:15 p.m, according to a Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services news release. They found a sprinkler in the building was activated from the fire. The firefighters evacuated the building, shut off the water supply to the sprinkler system and tried to minimize the water damage.
After the firefighters were finished, residents were allowed to return to the building.
No injuries occurred and the exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
Damage is estimated at $15,000.
Well the damage is going to be a lot worse than $15,000 with a lot of the building being damaged by water and will have to be repaired. There has been contractors in and out of the building all day long poking, prodding, and giving the bad news. The good news is that repairs won’t affect current operation of the Centre and we should be back to normal within a couple of weeks.

i was biking by and saw the trucks. unfortunate there was so much water damage but glad to hear operations wont be affected.
