Sean Shaw shares a broader perspective of the South Caswell Neighborhood Plan.  He also has a great blow by blow post on the Lake Placid/River Landing debate. Not sure how I feel about this… Saskatoon has a mandatory lead pipe upgrade.  That’s… umm awesome.  I get unsafe drinking water for the foreseeable future and if/when [...]

A three word review of The Gamble

As emailed to me earlier today.  If you haven’t read it yet, you are missing out with an incredibly brilliant book that offers an important look at what went wrong in Iraq and how some worked hard to fix it.

When the media has gone too far :: The comments are worth reading as well Larry Brown has lost his mind :: He coached the Clippers once and he actually wants to go back? Take a look at the empty seats at the Rogers Centre :: You would think the Jays were rebuilding again or [...]

Under Construction

Rumored to be the new Romanian Orthodox Church in Saskatoon.  It’s located just behind 22nd Street on Avenue G North.  I love the design of the church (nice to see a steeple) but I also love the color.  It’s a good fit for Caswell Hill.

Holy Batmobile!

Another shot from the 2010 Draggins Rod and Custom Car Show.

Time for Prairieland Expansion?

For years I have had a grudge against Prairieland Park.  First of all, they tore down the historic Exhibition Arena which for some odd reason, I tended to play better there (and worse at Cosmo Arena).  The arena was old, smelled like a barn, had chain link fencing instead of Plexiglas but had a lot [...]

Punch Buggy

No punch backs.  As seen at the Draggins Rod and Custom Car Show.

How windy was it in Saskatchewan on Friday?

Well the SGI building was shut down in Regina, a women was crushed and killed as a building blew sideways and pinned between the building and truck, and it lifted a man up into the air before dropping him down on the ground. In Saskatoon I drove a staff member home after work.  As we [...]

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell

I was chatting about this recently with a friend of mine who was hoping President Obama would repeal the

Apology as a commodity

I tried to link to the Nike commercial featuring Tiger Woods today but Nike Golf had it taken off of YouTube (while oddly leaving thousands of other Tiger Nike ads online).  Let’s just assume you have seen it. By running a commercial that is essentially what Tiger has said is a private matter, doesn’t he [...]

Mark and Oliver film an episode of Mantracker

Sadly Oliver has lost our trail.

It’s all Olli’s fault for what happened in Calgary Les Stroud’s newsletter linked to this today at Jordon Cooper Outfitters.   1000 quick hits later… I admit failure on building the cement patio at the cabin.  As Wendy writes, a wooden deck will go in it’s place. Can it get any lower for Rahim Jaffer… I [...]

My Arch Nemesis

Wendy has the details of our altercation here.

Is Wikileaks the Future of Journalism?

Foreign Policy ponders the question after the release of this video that shows the murder of civilians by an Apache attack helicopter.  The video is not safe for work or to be shown to kids. Yet, we wouldn’t be seeing the guns at all if not for a sustained campaign by Wikileaks. At its best, [...]
