I bought a 1993 Ford Festiva today from Darren Friesen. It looks nowhere nearly as cool as this one (it looks good but what is the resale value on a redone Ford Festiva?) but it’s okay, gets obscenely good gas mileage. Sadly it isn’t one of the seven SHOgun’s but it is good enough for bombing around town. I’ll post some photos in the next couple of days.
Now the bad news…
In Australia, the 1987-97 Ford Festivas were assessed in the Used Car Safety Ratings 2006 as providing "significantly worse than average" protection for their occupants in the event of a crash

Well, the solution is obvious to me: Just don’t drive the dang thing in Australia.
Yeah I looked at it and I didn’t see any kangaroo resistant side beams so that should deal with the problem.

heya.. I need to know what rims will bolt onto a festiva with no alterations..I wanted to go 14 or 15 inch rim and what size tire will work with those size rims
I just crashed my 93 festiva on the 29 of march I t-boned a nice mercedes I survived but car didn’t now I can’t find another one
I have what is the nicest festiva I’ve ever seen since they were new. Purchased at carlisle pa car show in april from the ford dealer that had used it as a run around vehicle since new. An absolute stripper with no options! Radio delete and all! 94000 miles on it but looks unbelievable underneath as well as inside. Email me if interested
