- A government study shows that the best option for Regina is a domed football stadium that will cost $350 million. I love football and the Saskatchewan Roughriders but this makes no sense to me at all. It isn’t as if we don’t pack into Mosaic Stadium and sell it out all of the time without a dome.

It was, however, an unavoidable decision when the convention’s leaders, quoting a few carefully selected Bible verses and claiming that Eve was created second to Adam and was responsible for original sin, ordained that women must be "subservient" to their husbands and prohibited from serving as deacons, pastors or chaplains in the military service. This was in conflict with my belief – confirmed in the holy scriptures – that we are all equal in the eyes of God.

Watched my first CFL game in years thanks to the “Altitude” network. Not sure why a domed stadium given that the CFL season is over before before Christmas. Oh I forgot, more money!
Hi Brian, you have no idea how cold Regina can get in October and November. It is colder than Lambeau Field in January, yet at the same time I would prefer to see a smaller open air stadium built.
But it is not just for the ‘Riders (even though they will be the main tenant). It’s for the other activities that could take place. Trade shows, concerts, other sports (soccer, touch football, flag football to name a few off the top of my head) are some of the other possible uses that could keep it utilized all year round.
That is why they are looking at other domed stadiums, to see how much it can be utilized around the football season.
I forgot that latitude issue, especially in the interior plains! I saw several Detroit Lions games in the Silverdome, just isn’t the same as watching an outdoor game. The dome made the whole experience seem a little “antiseptic”.
