The Salvation Army Community Centre (here in Saskatoon) has a job opening for a night residential worker. A consistent 40 hour work week, good benefits, interesting job. It’s listed on Sask Jobs as security but it is actually a front line residential worker at the men’s shelter. If you are interested, e-mail me at jordon.cooper@salvationarmysaskatoon.org (SaskJobs didn’t update the e-mail address with the listing).

Is this “night shift” as in swing shift (possibly a US term?) – like 4 PM to Midnight or 6 to 2 AM?
Or is it what US calls “Graveyard” or “Lobster” – 10 PM to 6 AM, or so?
Have you thought of splitting your graveyard shifts into two four hour blocks? One 10 PM to 2 AM, and one 2 AM to 6 AM, or so? Then the night guy works 4 hours later, and the day guy comes in four hours earlier.
That might save a lot of heartburn (and sick employees)?
