Monday Morning

The weekend that was: I escaped away from the city to open up the cabin and take in some denominational meetings.  The lake still is frozen and the cabin has a half foot of snow around it but it was nice to get away.  The best part was a walk where the only noise was the snow crunching under my feet.  Even better was the part where I drove the Accord through a puddle that was so deep and soft Wendy thought we were going to die.

Where I am at the moment: Sitting down and dealing with all of the voice mail that get left over the weekend.  I hate Monday morning voice mail.  No matter how late I work on Fridays, I always have voice mail on Monday morning.

On my to-do list this week:  Finalizing a proposal for a new form of assisted living for women and children in Saskatoon.  After that there is policy manuals to update, staff manuals to update, and evidence binders to complete.  If you know what I am talking about, I pity you.

Procrastinating about:  We are starting to paint the interior of the cabin which means that Wendy and I have to agree on paint colors.  Apparently we need an accent wall.  When I find out what that means, I’ll let you know.  The plan is also to take down a couple of walls which will eliminate two bedrooms.  After reading Cabinology, we both liked a photo of a cabin that had a cabin with beds, eating areas, and living areas in the same space.

Book I’m in the midst of: Music that seemed to catch my attention this past week: A lot of Metallica if the truth was to be known.

How I’m feeling about this week: Well I am working nights and days this week which means that Thursday will come along and I’ll think it is Wednesday or Friday.
