A couple of months ago Wendy remarked how impersonal my office was and it needed some personal touches. The two shades of light grey were not doing a lot for me either. A short while later I was in Wal-Mart and saw them blowing out some McFarlane sports figures and picked up a Derek Jeter. A while later I added a Jorge Posada and then for Christmas, Wendy gave me a couple more. She mentioned this on Twitter one day and within seconds I was being mocked for having a collection of dolls by some who don’t share my passion for historical art.
I tried to painstakingly tried to point out that these a collectible sports action figures but like the partisan rancor in Washington and Ottawa, I was just tweeted down. While the rumor is that Barack Obama has some of these in Oval Office, I will take the high road and not go on a road tour speaking of the benefits of the stimulus package collectible sports action figures in my office, I may be espousing their benefits in a televised national press conference later tonight if the polling numbers don’t change.
