Wendy’s year in review

Wendy gives 2008 a big send off in her year in review. That has been 2008 for me.  In some ways it has been wonderful, in other ways I feel like kicking it in the crotch as it leaves tomorrow night.

Gaza

Warren Kinsella has a good post about the spin that is coming out of Gaza.  I agree with what he is saying but I struggle with the strategy of what Israel is doing and if it is going to work. First of all, I can’t imagine how difficult it is to live right beside a [...]

I just bought 2 massive pens from Staples for work. They are the only ones that don’t go missing after 10 minutes. # Wow, Mike Shanahan has been fired as the coach of the Denver Broncos. #

Why Mike Shanahan had to go

Tom Curran of NBC Sports had this to say What had to clinch it for Bowlen, though, were the absurd losses Denver absorbed this season. Beaten by the lowly Chiefs 33-19 after a 3-0 start. A 41-7 destruction by the Patriots in Foxboro. A sloppy, staggering loss at home to Miami. A 31-10 ripping at [...]

Thanks Denver, this reminds me of the 90s when they would choke in their last game to Seattle and finish 9-7 or 8-8 and miss the playoffs # I am looking for some digital camera advice – http://www.jordoncooper.com/2008/12/28/advice/ # I am at work @salvationarmysk this morning. Digital Camera Advice

Wendy wanted to get me a camera for Christmas.  She started to second guess what kind to get and decided to get my input on it.  We have looked around a lot and are torn between a Fujifilm s2000HD camera.  It is an extended zoom camera with a 15 times zoom.  I have had a [...]

Christmas Day

One of the reasons we opened gifts on Christmas Eve is that I wanted to go down to the shelter on Christmas Day while the guys opened their gifts.  I brought a DVD player and some DVDs as well.  The guys watched The Wrath of Khan (and yes, they all yelled out “Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan” at the [...]
