Maggi
As Wendy has been working a lot of nights this month, I have been saying to her that I have really missed having Elway around the house. It seems really quiet without him. Today Wendy phoned out to the Saskatoon S.P.C.A. and asked what was out there. They had a spaniel that sounded interesting as well as some lab puppies so we went out and looked. Once we got there, they had a tan coloured Labrador Retriever/Weimeraner cross female that like Elway is too big for our house that somehow managed to make its way into our van and into our house. Right now Maggi (named after Margaret Thatcher) is attacking Mark with her tail while he attempts to eat supper. I like the noise that a dog brings to our house again.

I think that is great. Our back yard looks like a disaster area due to the chewing abilities of our dog - she makes good kindling for the fireplace no axe needed! But most of the time I love her.
Hope her personality is better than her namesake's was.
As someone who has been reading your blog for a long time, I had wanted to say I was so sad to hear about Elway. Lucky Maggi! I'm glad she has a new family. I bet she is very happy and can tell she's gotten herself into a good situation.

Labs have magnificent personalities and are unendingly loyal. If only we were able to be such fine servants.
