IHT: An American road map will lead nowhere

Peace in the Middle East will come only when Israelis and Palestinians, weary of this perpetual bloodshed, sit down together to draw their own, genuine road map. Until then, they will keep using American road maps as an excuse to steer clear of painful decisions.

Good article that I am afraid is right. The whole debate becomes even more confusing with Arafat flexing his muscles again. The road is a bumpy one and it remains to be seen if it's many offramps will be used by one or both parties.
UPDATE: This is a step in the right direction.
