It is done...

Well not quite, I need to make one more trip to Lakeview Church and then I am more or less done there. I am going out with some of the staff tomorrow and I guess all it is left then is to give back the keys.

It was funny leaving today. It was kind of sudden but once you realize it is time to go, it is time to go. It clicked in yesterday that my effective ministry there kind of ended when our Director of Operations was let go in late 2001. My position was his idea and without him around, it radically changed the dynamic and effectiveness of my job. I wish I had seen it sooner but hindsight is always 20/20 (odd how that is). While I will be glad I will be gone (closure and all). It was hard emotionally today. Wendy and I don't have much for immediate family outside my brother. I originally typed that some were like family but that is wrong, they are family. It was kind of like moving out all over again.

A couple of things I had wanted to do before I left will be written up in some articles and blog posts for later.
